Don’t you have faith in yourself?

Yes, then retire please…

Do you have fear???

Have you ever expected rewards?

Yes, then retire please…

Can you retire???

How and when?

Is it possible?

Yes, then it is the End…

It was the end when you began!!!

This long journey…?

A circle has no end; Has no beginning.

It is just a spinning wheel…!!!

Always moving to destiny…?

And to reach after your life…!!!

If not, then you are already retired…

MY HOMEWORK ON TURNING 60

As I look to beginning my seventh decade (I am already late by ten months when I turned 60 on 25th November, 2012), I thought I would share with you some of my observations about what this means.

It has been a good way for me personally to cope with the perils of this milestone 60th birthday when I penned a poem “Retiring…”

My body is not where it was in my 20s, but my mind is more focused than it was back then. The nicest things about turning 60 are:

• People’s opinions of you do not matter. Most of us spend a good part of our time and energy worrying about what people think of us. If someone does not like you, then it feels bad or you try and make sure they like you. The people I love and who love me are what matters. Now, it is time not to allow anyone to live rent free in my head.

• I do not have to look at the want ads or career opportunities. Yes, some of us 60+ will need to get a new job, but most of us do not have to worry anymore about what we are going to be or getting retrained and finding a new career. It is what it is. Circumstances and our own choices have made our lives, for better or worse. We may take a new job, but, for most of us, we do not have the anxiety of deciding to go back to school or worry about getting that next job to advance our careers.

• The sun coming up takes on new meaning. Each day is a gift and waking up and seeing a beautiful sunrise has no comparison. It is a joy to see and a view into the wonderment of life.

• The main task of getting older is the challenge of generativity versus stagnation. We can sit in our homes or at work watching the world go by, or we can take the challenge of giving back, taking on a new project, volunteering our time, spending it taking care of young people and allowing ourselves to be the givers to the generations after us. It is that challenge that we 60+ face, and I am glad to take it on.

• Things are always beautiful, and time is the most precious gift that we all have.

Dear friends,

Time never returns but good time always returns. I strongly believe in doing the things Right-First-Time for any business growth with credibility and I have seen throughout my four decades of eventful illustrious yet-to-fail career that bad time never returns.

I feel younger each time by sharing with Young-Minds and continue learning.

Knowledge never retires and precious never be in abundance. A little can make big difference and big may make little. Although I largely remained unused with my expertise here, I am satisfied doing a little.

Friendship never breaks with understanding and relationship grows with appreciation. We will continue working together in this amazing world of internet, although Petrofac remains the last stop of my career. There is no last day in my professional life until l keeps sharing and learning.

मुझे चलना ही है;

क़दम क़दम पर अलग तस्वीरें है..

ढेरों सबक़ और रोमांचक बनती राहें;

ऐसी दुर्लभ पाठशाला और कहाँ?

कौन राह मंज़िल तक?

मालूम नहीं..

कईं राहों पर अंधेरा ही अंधेरा है;

माचिस का सहारा भी छूटने लगा..

राही मैं अकेला ही रह गया;

आसमान खुल गया और सितारों ने नई राह सँवारी..

कुछ देर ठहर जाऊ कि थक न जाऊँ;

उम्मीदों का सहारा भी छूटने लगा..

राहें बदलता चला मगर मंज़िल नहीं;

निष्ठा और प्यार ने हौसला बुलंद रखा..

नामुमकिन सी मंज़िल;

आख़िर मिल ही गयी !!!

आज फिर एक मौक़ा है..

आज फिर एक मौक़ा है, जीने का.. बीते कल मैं ख़ुश था, दु:खी था, बीत गये वो कल.. बीते पल अब मैं कैसे जीऊँ ? आज फिर एक मौक़ा है, जीने का.. बीत गये वो कल, यादें बनकर ही रह गये वो पल, यादों के सहारे अब मैं कैसे जीऊँ ? आज फिर एक मौक़ा है, जीने का.. कल फिर सुबह होगी जरुर, बड़े बड़े अरमानों के वो कल, सपनों के सहारे फिर मैं कैसे जीऊँ ? आज फिर एक मौक़ा है, जीने का.. आज का मतलब है सिर्फ़ आज.. नयी सुबह, नया दिन, नयी शाम, और रात भी नयी नयी.. क्या करूँ और क्या न करूँ ? यादों और वादों मैं, फिर बिखर जाऊँ क्या? आज फिर एक मौक़ा है, जीने का.. हर सुबह मुझे ही जागना है, हर दिन मुझे ही चलना है, हर शाम मुझे ही लहरों को देखना है, हर रात मुझे ही नये सपना देखना है, और हर नये दिन को जीना है.. चलना है मेरी ही मंज़िल की और, जहाँ कोई दौड़ नहीं है जीतने की, जहाँ सिर्फ़ चाह है जीने की, प्यार से.. सहयोग से.. सभी लौटाने की.. न की सब कुछ लूटाने की.. क्योंकि मुझे अभी और जीना है, आज फिर एक मौक़ा है, जीने का.. सुरेश गोराना २५ मई, २०१५ नई दिल्ली

Winners rejoice and losers reconcile.

Winners think they created history.

Losers think they went down in history.

Winners had experience and losers had expertise.

One needs to go miles,

while other guides how to cover miles.

विजेता आनिन्दत होते हैं और हारने वाले आत्ममंथन करते हैं।

विजेताओं को लगता है कि उन्होंने इितहास रचा;

हारने वालों को लगता है कि वे इितहास के पन्नों में दर्ज हुए।

विजेताओं को उत्कृष्ट अनुभव मिला और हारने वालों को विशेषज्ञता मिली।

एक को मीलों दूर और भी जाना है,

जब कि दूसरे को मीलों दूर कैसे जाना है उसका मार्गदर्शन करना है।

मेरे लिए, जिंदगी सदैव और निरंतर बहती नदिया है।

बस, तैरना सिख जाओ और किनारों पर बैठें मत रहो..

बिना वजह कोई साहस ना करें, जिंदगी नहीं आती दोबारा।

फिर देखो नदिया के साथ-साथ..

खूद ही कुदरत के समीप और समय की सिमाओं में जीना सीख लेंगे।
